Panthers reportedly bringing back TE
The Panthers are reportedly set to bring back a tight end and special teams ace.
The Carolina Panthers are reportedly bringing back a tight end and special teams ace from a division rival. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Panthers are signing free agent Feleipe Franks. Franks spent the 2024 campaign in Carolina before returning to the Atlanta Falcons, his first pro team, in 2025.
A quarterback-turned-tight end, Franks attended the University of Florida and the University of Arkansas between 2016 and 2020. He was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2021. Franks began his transition to the tight end position in the summer of 2022, and played in a combined 20 games for Atlanta through that season.
He'd go on to join the Panthers after missing the entirety of the 2023 campaign due to foot injury, appearing in 16 outings for the team in 2024. Follow our free agency tracker for all the latest moves. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.
