ANN ARBOR, MI – Lady Vols basketball forward Janiah Barker is out for Tennessee's first round matchup of the Women's NCAA Tournament. No. 10 seed Tennessee (16-13) faces No.
7 seed NC State (20-10) at the Crisler Center on March 20 (8 p. m. ET, ESPN).
There were no players listed on the initial availability report on March 19. The Lady Vols' practice, which Barker was participating in during the period open to media, ended two hours before the availability report was published. But on the game-day update, Barker was listed as out.
She was not out on the court with the team during warmups after participating in the media day the day prior. Barker was on the podium with Nya Robertson and spoke with reporters in the locker room. Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell told reporters that "Janiah (Barker's) a little banged up, she'll be limited today," on March 16 ahead of the NCAA Tournament.
