Galli posted on Facebook that he is excited about a new opportunity that he didn't name. He said it will allow him to be home more with his family.
WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) sports anchor Brad Galli is ready for a new and undisclosed career move. The popular anchor and sports director for Detroit's ABC affiliate announced Friday, March 20, on social media that he is leaving the station May 1. Galli said it was his decision and thanked WXYZ's leadership for "for treating me with kindness, listening, and, ultimately, understanding.
" As for what's next, Galli was upbeat and mysterious. "I'm excited to work more independently in this new chapter, sharing my work in new places that allow me to be around more often at night with my wife and kids," he shared on Facebook .
