LSU scored 64 points in the first half against Jacksonville, setting a school record for most points in a half in the NCAA Tournament.

LSU was so dominant in the first half against Jacksonville that the Tigers topped a record by their NCAA title team. LSU's 64 points was a school record for the first half of an NCAA tournament game. It topped the 59 that LSU scored over Iowa in the first half of the 2023 NCAA championship game, which was a record for points scored in a half of a national final or semifinal.

Angel Reese and the Tigers went on to beat Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes 102-85. "What I've seen all year. We can score the ball," LSU coach Kim Mulkey told ESPN when asked at halftime what she'd seen from her team in the first half against Jacksonville.
