Eagles add safety J.T. Gray after Brown trade, Epps re-signing

Yahoo Sports

The Eagles signed safety J. T. Gray to a one-year deal after trading Sydney Brown to the Falcons and re-signing Marcus Epps, continuing to reshape their secondary with experienced depth ahead of the 2026 season.

The Eagles struck a deal with the Falcons on Friday afternoon, acquiring picks No. 114 and 197 in exchange for picks No. 122 and 215 along with safety Sydney Brown, reshaping their draft capital ahead of selection weekend.

The deal to send Brown to the Falcons comes days after the Eagles used a 2027 seventh-round pick to Carolina in order to acquire backup quarterback Andy Dalton. Prior to adding Gray and Epps, Andrew Mukuba and Brown were the only safeties on the depth chart, along with Andre Sam, after Reed Blankenship's departure. Michael Carter II reworked his deal and could be a candidate for the position.
