The Atlanta Braves ' outfield has clearly taken a hit over the past few months. Jurickson Profar has been suspended for 162 games, and they lost Marcell Ozuna in free agency. After losing Ozuna in free agency and facing another setback with Profar, the Braves find themselves with a major need in the outfield.

The problem here is that the Braves are expected to compete for a World Series in 2026, so not having a decent outfielder to replace either of them is a bit of an issue. Mark Morales-Smith of Sports Illustrated proposed a trade that would trade all of that. His deal would send Fernando Tatis to Atlanta in exchange for Mike Yastrzemski and a package of prospects, including Didier Fuentes, Owen Murphy, and Diego Tornes.

โ€œAtlanta was left scrambling after letting Marcell Ozuna walk in free agency and having Jurickson Profar fail another PED test that will cost him the entire 2026 season. The Braves need an outfielder, and Tatis would be a huge upgrade. While this is a big price to pay with three of their top prospects and their starting left fielder, it's worth it for a talented team that wants to find themselves back in the World Series.
