She’s enjoying working with Joyce so far, and the change seems to be paying off.

She is now closing in on Sonay Kartal and Emma Raducanu in the rankings. Even Boulter has admitted she didn’t expect her form to turn around so quickly under Joyce, who previously worked with Maria Sharapova.

Speaking to Luxury London about how she felt regarding her start to 2026, Boulter said: “I obviously wanted to do more in Australia and felt like I was playing good stuff but, at the same time, I have to be realistic and understand that I’m just finding my feet. “I’ve just got a new coach and we’re still working things out. I’m having to be patient, which isn’t my biggest virtue.
