The Boston Red Sox have a bright future, headlined by young stars all over the roster, and Alex Cora is tasked with getting the most out of them.
Cora has been a great manager for the Red Sox. He has managed the third most games in franchise history, and should end up passing Tito Francona in wins by the time his contract expires. He spoke to The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham on what could come after that.
"Honestly, we’re in a good spot," Cora told Abraham. "I think the family is happy and things here look tremendous, right? We have a bright future.
The cool thing is that we’re not talking too much about the future. We’re talking about the present. That’s what I want.
I get that you have to go through phases through your career and there were tough years here. But now I think everything is in place, I feel strongly about what’s going on here. We’ll see what the future holds.
