Well, at least that's how the official listings spell it out. Lux is three inches shorter for the 2026 season with the Tampa Bay Rays than he was when he left the Cincinnati Reds . Is he really, though?

Probably not. This is about how MLB is measuring heights going forward. Because of the ABS challenge system, which sets a strike zone based on a given player's height, the heights need to be accurate.

Lux was listed as 6-foot-2 with the Reds. He's now listed at 5-foot-11. THAT IS SOME SERIOUS SHRINKAGE pic.
