A win here would be Marquez’s 23rd different circuit victory and mark his 100th career win across all classes.

The track isn’t expected to suit him, though. Goiania leans heavily towards right-hand corners, with nine in total compared to just five lefts. The opening right-hander is so long it counts as two separate turns on paper, and there’s a stretch where riders only turn left between Turns 5 and 10.

According to him, it’s the left-hand corners that will be crucial, particularly Turn 10. Speaking to AS, Alex explained: “There are few left-hand corners. But the ones there are, watch out, they’re the important ones.
