The 24-year-old has made 32 National League appearances so far this season, scoring once. Akinola spent time in Arsenal's academy before leaving in 2023 to join Qatari side Al Bidda SC.
Since his return to England he has had spells at clubs including Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge, Solihull Moors and Gateshead before joining Woking last summer. Cardinals director of football Jody Brown said that other teams had been showing interest in Akinola before he committed to his new deal. "There has been some genuine interest in Timmy from other clubs, including formal offers that we have turned down," Brown said.
"We feel that this deal is an illustration of the belief from both the club and the player in what can be achieved here at our football club during the coming seasons. "
