So, naturally when the Colombian star had a chance to pick the next destination for his career a few weeks back, it was completely shocking that the attacking midfielder chose to go to….
Minnesota. Heck, even the 34-year-old’s ex-teammate Thomas Müller was flabbergasted that Rodriguez made such a decision. “I was a bit surprised he chose Minnesota,” Muller told BeIN Sports (as captured by World Soccer Talk ).
“I remember in Munich he always said he was freezing. And now he goes to Minnesota, which is probably the coldest place in the United States. ” Surely, the Bayern Munich Alumni WhatsApp group was buzzing with one liners over that decision by Rodriguez, who could possibly be regretting willfully opting to play in such frigid locale.
Muller and his Vancouver Whitecaps mates down Minnesota United FC 6-0 last weekend, so the weather is not the only thing cold in the Land of 10,000 Lakes right now.
