OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA - MARCH 19: Head coach Fred Hoiberg of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Braden Frager #5 of the Nebraska Cornhuskers celebrate their win against the Troy Trojans in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Paycom Center on March 19, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images) | Getty Images Tonight on the Five Heart Podcast, bring your party hats and noise makers because it will be a party environment after the Nebraska Men’s Basketball Team demolished Troy in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Despite a slow start, the Huskers quickly changed the tempo of the game, playing to their strengths of solid defense, perimeter shooting, and hustling.

Behind Pryce Sandfort’s record-setting day, Nebraska beat the Trojans 76-47. The lack of excitement down the stretch did not stifle Husker fan enthusiasm as it allowed the starters to exit the game and the bench players to see some action. Tonight, yes, I’m sure we’ll talk some football, but let us bask in this moment as the 2025-26 Huskers have done something no other Nebraska team has done in history and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tourney.

GBR!
