Mel Kiper Jr.’s mock draft projects the Buffalo Bills will select Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell, whose parents grew up in Rochester.

The Buffalo Bills could bring a corner back to western New York. ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. projects the Bills will select Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, a player whose family roots trace back to Rochester.

"The Bills' tight salary cap led to some cornerback changes this offseason, Kiper wrote. "They have Christian Benford and 2025 first-rounder Maxwell Hairston in place, but the depth is shallow. Terrell is great in man coverage, showing the ability to stick on receivers.

and Aliya Terrell, are both graduates of Edison Tech High School, where they were high school sweethearts before moving to Atlanta in 2001. Terrell Sr. was born in Auburn and moved to Rochester's west side as a child, growing up on Arnett Boulevard.
