Luana Carolina fails at the scale

LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 20: Luana Carolina of Brazil poses on the scale during the UFC Fight Night official weigh-in at The Hilton London Canary Wharf on March 20, 2026 in London, England. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) Luana Carolina has missed weight again and she wasn’t remotely close to the mark. At Friday’s official morning weigh-ins for UFC London, Carolina registered at 144 pounds, which would have been fine for a featherweight bout; unfortunately for Carolina, her fight with Melissa Mullins was scheduled for 135 pounds.

Even taking into account a one-pound allowance for a non-title fight, “Dread” ended up missing weight by eight pounds. Mullins, who has previously missed weight for two previous UFC fights, successfully weighed in at 136 pounds, but it was later officially announced that her fight against Carolina has been cancelled due to regulatory reasons. 5 pounds and 3 pounds, and she also saw a March 2025 flyweight fight with Montana De La Rosa cancelled when she failed to appear at the official weigh-ins. Following that bout cancellation, a representative from De La Rosa’s team told MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck that Carolina “couldn’t even get within five pounds of 126. ” Carolina returned to bantamweight this past September at UFC Perth, where she lost a unanimous decision to Michelle Montague.
