The Kansas City Chiefs ’ revamp of the running backs room ahead of the 2026 season will officially be without last season’s end-of-year signing. On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the free-agent signing of running back Dameon Pierce, who spent a few games last season in Kansas City. We've agreed to terms on a one-year deal with RB Dameon Pierce.

“I like the kid (Dameon Pierce),” said Reid during a press conference last season. “I can tell he’s sharp and into it. We don’t have any injuries going on so the guys that know the stuff are playing right now.
But I sure like the way he goes about his business. You see why he’s a good player. ” During the 2025 season, Pierce appeared in five games, four with the Texans and one with the Chiefs.
