"Some people thought before last season that last year might be a rebuilding year for us," said third-year head coach Trey Balasco, a 2013 graduate of the school. "It didn't turn out to be because we had a pretty good season. And, maybe some people thought this year would kind of be a rebuild, but our guys did a great job and got better as the year went on.
"It turned out to be a really good season and the guys should be proud of the year they had. " The Golden Hawks won the team title at the PIAA District One-North Class 3A tournament and the Southeast Regional team title before placing eighth at the PIAA championships. "We have such a strong youth program and the coaching all the way up is really, really good," Balasco said. "We have high standards and high expectations every season and we expect to do well. "We had to replace nearly 200 (individual) wins from last year and that's tough.
