The game was level at 2-2 when Raphinha won a penalty right before half-time.
The Brazilian looked set to take the kick again but then handed over the ball to Yamal who promptly converted. Raphinha spoke about penalty-taking duties at the club and explained why he handed over the responsibility to the teenager. “These days, goalkeepers are always well prepared.
It doesn’t matter who takes them. But during the game, you get a sense of it. It’s about the confidence you have that night,” he said.
“And Lamine told me he was really keen to take it. When you see his confidence, you trust him, and it worked out well! He took it very well.
