Michigan dominates Howard in first round of NCAA tournament

BUFFALO, New York. (WLNS) — No. 1 seed Michigan dominated No.

16 seed Howard from start to finish as the Wolverines defeated the Bisons 101-80. Michigan had five players score in double figures, including Morez Johnson Jr. who led Michigan with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Aday Mara added in 19 points for Wolverines. After the game Johnson said his team knew they didn’t play well in the first half and they were determined to come out in the 2nd half and be a better team. After taking a four-point lead into halftime, Michigan outscored Howard 51-34 in the 2nd half.

Michigan would go on to shoot over 65 percent from the field in the game and dished out 27 assist on the night. Michigan will be back in action on Saturday when they take on No. 9 seed St.
