In 2026, the month of March belongs to Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha. He has a five-game point streak dating back to March 14 against the Washington Capitals, and only one player in the NHL has more goals than the Bruins ' second-line center this month. Zacha has potted four in the past three games (more than any other player), including one in his two-point night on Thursday, knocking off the Winnipeg Jets on Boston’s home ice.
His second-career hat trick highlights the 28-year-old center’s hot streak, coming in the overtime loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Zacha’s awakening could not have been better timed, as the Bruins are neck deep in a playoff push. Thursday night’s win added two points to their season total of 84, but the overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens earlier this week is proving costly as Montreal holds the third and final spot in the Atlantic Division’s top three with the same point total.
Despite Zacha’s best efforts, the Bruins are 5-5 in the last ten with three of those losses coming in overtime. Zacha’s eight goals on 20 shots make up the highest shooting percentage in the league’s top-50 point scorers this season. The Bruins currently hold the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and hope to lean heavily on the second-line scoring with just 13 games left to play in the regular season.
