He appeared in only 14 games for the Canucks before being traded this season, recording just one point on the year. Perhaps a change of scenery is just what the doctor ordered for the German native, who was lighting it up for the Providence Bruins before he got the call-up on Wednesday night.
He recorded five points in just three games played in Rhode Island, including four assists and one goal. Reichel has simply not produced as expected since he was taken with the 17th pick in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He began his career with the Chicago Blackhawks.
