Our Redeemer's takes off after choppy first half to beat Bishop Ryan in Division B quarterfinals

— It took a while for third-seeded Our Redeemer's to settle in against sixth-seeded Bishop Ryan Thursday afternoon at the Minot State Dome. The Knights, making their third consecutive appearance in the North Dakota Division B state tournament, seemed to remember their experience as the game progressed. Our Redeemer's extended its lead in the third quarter and dominated the fourth for a 57-32 win over the Lions in the tournament quarterfinals.
The Knights outscored Bishop Ryan 36-17 in the final two quarters. "Once we settled in and just took a deep breath, it just allowed us to play our game," Our Redeemer's head coach Brock Teets said. "Things started opening up for us offensively.
... After a while, we were like, oh yeah, that's right, this is just another state tournament. " Junior Nolan Schmidt led the Knights with 26 points.
Junior Wyatt Weekley added 14 points. Our Redeemer's had a slight 7-6 edge after a first quarter that was a rock fight. The Knights extended their advantage to 21-15 by halftime as the offense finally got into a groove.
