The Los Angeles Dodgers increased the gap between themselves and the New York Yankees as MLB’s highest earning team in 2025, per Lev Akabas. Akabas reported the Dodgers earned a gross revenue of $1. 1 billion before putting $175 million towards revenue sharing.

The Dodgers’ wealth shouldn’t be any surprise to most, as their investments into their team have massively paid off over the past couple of seasons. They had the highest attendance in MLB last season by a wide margin, averaging 49,536 visitors, and have a multitude of endorsements to help fund their spending during the offseason. Shohei Ohtani is a prime example, as the superstar is set to pull in a record figure in 2026. Per Sportico , Ohtani will earn $125 million from his brand deals in 2026 — the most of any athlete in history.

Stephen Curry, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer previously reached the $100 million mark, but only did so once. Ohtani has now done it in consecutive seasons. The Dodgers’ owners have done a fantastic job of investing into their team, and the product they provide on the field for fans will only bring in more funds the future.
