Forward Ogheneruona ‘Miracle’ Akpotayobo decommitted from Auburn after a coaching change there and ended up committing to Becky Burke at Arizona. Then, the freshman disappeared from the Wildcats’ roster in mid-September with no word from the program. There never was an official explanation for the departure of the 6-foot-3 post from Nigeria, although the program did respond to inquiries about her absence from the roster with a statement wishing her well in her future endeavors.

Whatever caused her to move on from Arizona appears to be resolved. She will attempt a return to the court next year somewhere else. Talia Goodman of On3 reports that Akpotayobo will list her name in the transfer portal.

She will officially be a transfer out of the Arizona program despite not being on the roster when fall practice started. She becomes the fifth player who started last season on the team to enter the portal. NEWS: Arizona’s Miracle Akpotayobo plans to enter the transfer portal, she told @On3 .
