Chargers running back Omarion Hampton has been tabbed as a fantasy football loser after the first wave of free agency. Here's why.

Chargers running back Omarion Hampton has been tabbed as a fantasy football 'loser' after the first wave of free agency by Pro Football Focus. Nathan Jahnke of PFF believes Keaton Mitchell's arrival in LA will cause problems for fantasy managers looking to flourish with Hampton on their starting rosters. "Hampton is still the favorite to be the starter, but Mitchell should see more playing time in Los Angeles than he did in Baltimore, and will make it harder for Hampton to finish among the top-10 running backs," Jahnke writes.

The Bolts signed Mitchell to a two-year, $9. 25 million deal. He's expected to split carries with Kimani Vidal as a second or third-string running back on the depth chart.

However, Mitchell gives the Chargers the one thing the offense lacked in 2025 — speed and acceleration. Last season, Mitchell recorded 341 yards on 59 rushes for the Ravens, who chose not to tender the 24-year-old. Mitchell averaged 5.

8 yards per catch in 2025 and has averaged 6. 3 yards per catch throughout three seasons. While talented, Mitchell has been hampered by injuries.
