Michigan State basketball dominates NDSU in NCAA Tournament win

Michigan State basketball opened its NCAA Tournament with a game against the No. 14 seeded North Dakota State in Buffalo. It was about as perfect of a start that the Spartans could have, dominating the Bison on route to a 92-67 win.

After a back and forth spurt to open the game, the Spartans had control of the contest by the under-12 media timeout and never looked back in the game. Leading the way for the Spartans was Carson Cooper, who had a dominating performance on Thursday afternoon, scoring 20 points and adding 10 rebounds for a double-double. Coen Carr also had a big game with 17 points, while Cam Ward (13 points) and Jaxon Kohler (12 points) also scored in double figures.

Jeremy Fears had a strong game leading the offense, scoring seven points while adding 11 assists. In a win and advance format, the Spartans did their job, and now advance to Saturday's round of 32 and a date with the No. 6 seed Louisville, who defeated USF on Thursday, 83-79.
