Former Iowa basketball star Pryce Sandfort sparked Nebraska's first-ever March Madness win.
Nebraska (27-6, 15-5 Big Ten) finally got the monkey off its back. The fourth-seeded Huskers won their first-ever NCAA Tournament game in a 76-47 March Madness blowout over Troy (22-12) in Oklahoma City from the Paycom Center. And it took a Hawkeye to do so.
Former Iowa basketball standout Pryce Sandfort keyed the Nebraska win, pouring in a game-high 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. The Huskers will meet No. 5 seed Vanderbilt (27-8, 11-7 SEC) on Saturday in OKC.
