New Eagles player once thought Philadelphia was going to draft him.

A childhood dream came true for new Eagles wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown when he signed a one-year deal on Tuesday with the team he cheered for growing up. Brown watched Eagles star running back Brian Westbrook and quarterback Donovan McNabb as a kid, hoping that one day he’d be in their position. It’s finally happened.

The former Chiefs wideout couldn’t contain his excitement while speaking with reporters on Thursday. “For me, I’m excited,” Brown said. “I (am) always looking to prove myself, not only to my teammates, my coaches, but to myself.

I feel like I haven’t played my best ball. Feel like all that is still in front of me. So here in Philly, I’m ready to introduce Hollywood to the city of Philadelphia, and I’m excited for the opportunity.

” Brown believes his potential has been limited by injuries, including one to his shoulder that kept him out of all but two games in 2024. He played in 16 games this past season, finishing with 49 catches for 587 yards and five touchdowns. Next season, Brown will be Philadelphia’s No.
