The Huskies posted a big win out in California.

Tyler Minick did it again. For the second game in a row, the junior left the park. It was a solo no-doubter well over the left field wall in the third inning that was the first of ten unanswered runs by the Huskies (10-11) as they took down Santa Clara, 12-5.

A Chris Cancel RBI single and groundout from Peyton Jemison, who made his first start since February, with a runner on third, gave UConn a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the second. However, the Broncos struck back in short order. With two weekday games on back-to-back days, Penders opted for a bullpen game, sending Sean Finn out for his first start in his seventh appearance.
