The LPGA is back in the U. S. this week for the second time, after spending the past few weeks in Asia.

It’s the 15th edition of the Fortinet Founders Cup where a top field will compete at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club in Menlo Park, Calif. The purse is $3 million with the winner taking home $450,000 for a victory. Yealimi Noh is the defending champion and Rose Zhang, the 2024 champion, is playing as well.

In all, 20 of the top 25 players in the world are in action, including Jeeno Thitikul (1) and Nelly Korda (2), each of whom have already won this season. Korda won the season-opener in Orlando and Thitikul won in her native Thailand. Twenty-five rookies, two sponsor exemptions and two Monday qualifiers round out the field of 144 players as the LPGA now starts its run to the Chevron Championship, its first major championship of the year, April 23-26, at Memorial Park in Houston.

Up next week is the Ford Championship at Whirlwind golf Club in Phoenix. Here’s the rundown of what each player will earn this week who makes the cut. Check back here Sunday after play is complete for updates.
