A few things to know from the Packers' finalized coaching staff, including the revealing of a new base defensive front.

The Green Bay Packers announced a finalized coaching staff under Matt LaFleur for the 2026 season on Thursday. LaFleur's staff includes eight new hires (including defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon) and six internal promotions. A few things to know from the finalized coaching staff: -- The Packers promoted DeMarcus Covington to assistant head coach on defense and switched his title from defensive line coach to outside linebackers coach.

This is the best clue yet that the Packers will be running a base 3-4 front under Jonathan Gannon. Outside linebackers will be the primary edge rushers in the new front. -- As expected, Luke Butkus is being retained as offensive line coach.

His position group needs to stay healthy and rebound in a big way in 2026. -- Luke Getsy is not only taking over the quarterbacks coach job, but also head coach on offense. These are new titles for Getsy and Covington in Green Bay.

Rich Bisaccia was previously the lone assistant head coach. -- Vince Oghobasse, who followed Jeff Hafley from Boston College to Green Bay, was promoted to defensive line coach after working as an assistant along the defensive front during the last two seasons. This will be his first time as a top position coach at the NFL level.
