The three-point sharpshooter was 0 for 4 on two-pointers this season, but Johnston sealed the Panthers' Cinderella status with a game-winning layup.

On the first day of March Madness, we may have already found our Cinderella. The No. 12-seeded High Point Panthers won their first NCAA tournament game in program history, stunning the Wisconsin Badgers in the Round of 64 on Thursday with an 83-82 win.

The Badgers had the ball in the final seconds with a one-point lead, but after a blocked shot, the Panthers found star guard Chase Johnston running free in transition. Johnston caught the pass in stride and finished with what proved to be a game-winning layup with 11 seconds remaining. It was the first two-point make of the season for the three-point sharpshooter, who is shooting 48.

5% on 132 three-point attempts this season but was just 0 for 4 on two-pointers entering Thursday's game. FIRST 2-POINTER OF THE YEAR FOR CHASE JOHNSTON 😱 HIGH POINT LEADS!!! pic.
