Packers announce 27-member coaching staff under Matt LaFleur
The Green Bay Packers formally announced their 2026 coaching staff under head coach Matt LaFleur on March 19.
GREEN BAY โ More than two months after their season ended with a dispiriting playoff loss in Chicago, the Green Bay Packers announced their coaching staff. Coach Matt LaFleurโs staff has undergone significant upheaval in the months since bowing out against the Bears. Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley was hired as the Miami Dolphins head coach, taking a bevy of defensive assistants with him.
Special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia left to take the same job at Clemson. Their replacements have been known for weeks now, but the Packers made it official March 19. Under new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, DeMarcus Covington has moved from defensive line to outside linebackers coach.
Covington, an internal candidate to replace Hafley, also received a title promotion. He is now the defensive run game coordinator and assistant head coach on defense. Vince Oghobaase will now coach the defensive line, promoted from assistant defensive line coach the past two seasons.
Luke Getsy, a senior offensive assistant last season, will replace Sean Mannion as quarterbacks coach. Mannion was hired as the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator earlier this offseason. Getsy also will be the assistant head coach on offense.
