USA TODAY Sports shifts the spotlight to the nation’s desert and mountain corridors with the unveiling of the 2025-26 ALL‑USA Southwest Boys Basketball Team, celebrating a collection of high school standouts who have shaped one of the country’s most competitive basketball regions. Across the Southwest — from Texas powerhouses and New Mexico's fast‑rising programs to the high‑altitude gyms of Colorado and the talent‑rich communities of Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, these athletes did far more than put up numbers. They carried their teams through defining stretches, elevated the standard of play around them, and turned local matchups into must‑see events.

What separates this group is not only skill, but the toughness, leadership and edge they brought to every possession. Their performances also place them in the national conversation. Every player chosen to the Southwest roster becomes an automatic finalist for the ALL‑USA National Boys Basketball Team, USA TODAY Sports’ All‑American list that has recognized the country’s best since 1982.

The national team will be announced in early April. The Southwest Region includes athletes from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. ALL-USA Southwest First Team Guards Reese Alston, Jr.
