After finding the answer at quarterback with Tyler Shough, the Saints have begun investing in his surroundings. They signed David Edwards to be their new left guard and Travis Etienne Jr. to be their new starting running back.

But, after the first wave of free agency, despite making some big moves, the Saints still have two big roster holes. According to ESPN's Katherine Terrell, the Saints have two roster holes, one on each side of the ball. After a strong start to the offseason, Mickey Loomis needs to invest in the wide receiver and defensive end rooms.

Saints have two big holes at WR and DE to still fill "Biggest remaining roster holes: Wide receiver or defensive end," Terrell writes. Both positions could use some help in 2026 and beyond. For starters, at defensive end, the Saints could still wind up re-signing Cameron Jordan to another one-year deal to return for his 16th season in the NFL.
