He was initially signed by the Philadelphia Eagles, but was cut as part of roster cuts. The Commanders signed him shortly after that, and he has spent all seven seasons he's played in the NFL with them. He's not a full-time starter, but has started 19 games in his career, including eight last season.

He's been an integral part of the Commanders' secondary. He is a vital part of that room amid a ton of turnover, helping new faces acclimate to the team, surviving the Dan Snyder drama that led to the sale of the team to Josh Harris, and now reaping the benefits of that loyalty. He, Tress Way, Daron Payne and Terry McLaurin have been steadfast, loyal players for the Commanders.
