Brown. New England has the draft capital to pull off a trade, but the Eagles might wait until after June 1 to finalize the deal. If they trade Brown before June 2, they would incur a hefty $43 million dead cap hit this season.
The Eagles would incur only $16 million in dead cap this season if they trade Brown after June 1, which is more likely at this point. Since trades made after June 1 can’t be finalized until that date, any potential trade wouldn’t be able to include 2026 NFL Draft picks. This means New England would have to offer the Eagles 2027 and possibly 2028 picks.
