Two new Eagles turn their admiration into the desire for alignment

Sometimes, roster moves aren't only about the contracts themselves. Sometimes, the deeper meaning is about belief. For two of the newer Philadelphia Eagles , belief in something shared and something intentional.

It appears that thinking in that vein was powerful enough to shape what came next for both of them. Two new members of the Eagles roster find themselves in similar spaces. Both players, already vocal about their respect for the organization, have taken that admiration a step further.

Instead of simply appreciating the culture from a distance, they’ve aligned themselves with it in a way that feels more deliberate and potentially impactful. If you arrived late to this party, two moves were made on opposite sides of the ball. First, Philadelphia announced the signing of cornerback Jonathan Jones .

Then, they upped the ante somewhat by replacing the recently exited Jahan Dotson with the exciting Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown . For Jones, the decision to join Philadelphia was rooted in his admiration for an organization that he had admired from afar, so he took some rare initiative, piloting his own flight to the City of Brotherly Love. For Brown, the admiration was similar.
