(Photo by Ric Tapia/Getty Images) | Getty Images The Los Angeles Rams had started the process of potentially getting some NFL rules looked at and altered after the funky 2-point play that went against them in their massive second matchup against the Seattle Seahawks last season, but it is reported that the rules changes have been withdrawn. This isn’t too surprising as Sean McVay himself had said that the play in question was very rare, but the Rams did want to explore maybe making some changes if it made sense, but whether it was an act or not, McVay made it clear he was spending more time on figuring out how to make his team better as opposed to how to change the league rules.

The first was to have backward passes treated as fumbles in situations such as fourth downs, inside the 2-minute warning and on two-point conversions. That would’ve prevented the Seahawks from advancing the fumble and recovering it for a successful conversion in the end zone. The Rams also wanted a 40-second time limit for replay reviews to be initiated.
