USC college hoops had a rough week, but NBA Trojans stepped up, including a big name who delivered two elite performances

It was a tough week in college basketball for the Trojans as the men's basketball team suffered a tough loss in overtime to the Washington Huskies . However, one Trojan still stood out. In the NBA, a longtime star from USC turned back the clock with a high-scoring week, and some of the young rising "Projans" were dominant.

Here are my top performers across hoops this past week for USC, both in college and the NBA: Men's Basketball - Kam Woods In the Trojans sole game in the tournament, senior guard Kam Woods stepped up when nobody else could find offensive production. Kam Woods had 24 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. It was a stat sheet stuffing performance by Kam Woods that helped USC give Washington a battle after being very disappointing in the 7 games prior.

If anybody else steps up alongside Woods, the Trojans more than likely put Washington away in the second half. NBA - DeMar DeRozan DeMar DeRozan turned back the clock last week with a dominant week of scoring. It all started last Wednesday as DeRozan dropped a 39-point performance, all without knocking down a single 3.

He definitely showed off his mid-range ability, proving why many refer to him as the mid-range assassin. He then followed that off with a 27-point performance on 11-14 shooting and chipping in 7 assists to go along with his efficient scoring. To finish the week up on Sunday, DeRozan had his best game of the week as he dropped 41 points, 11 assists, and had 3 steals.
