Notre Dame released its full spring football availability report
Notre Dame football will be missing over 10 players this spring who are nursing injuries, stunting some of their development.
Notre Dame football will start its spring practices on Friday, but there will be more than a few familiar names not being on the field . We found out that star cornerback Leonard Moore won’t be able to practice during the early portion of spring, along with offensive tackle Charles Jagusah having yet another surgery , his fifth following his injury last summer. With head coach Marcus Freeman meeting with the media on Wednesday , we found out who else will be missing some or all of the spring.
A trio of linebacker will be limited, Drayk Bowen, Madden Faraimo and Kahanu Kia, two of the three will be big-time contributors this fall and it’s great to hear that they’ll be back soon. Two more won’t be full-go as offensive lineman Tyler Merrill and running back Aneyas Williams will be held back a bit. There are multiple players that will be non-participants this fall, starting on offense with offensive lineman Ashton Craig along with Jagusah, running backs Kedren Young and Javian Osborne with Williams, wide receivers Quincy Porter and Brayden Robinson.
Defensively the Irish will be without two more linebackers in Ja’Kobe Clapper and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, defensive lineman Tiki Hola and Gordy Sulfsted and cornerback Khary Adams. As you can see, it’s a mix of returning players, transfers, and incoming freshman, as some of these are to protect them from further injury. Craig and KVA are rehabbing from ACL injuries, but look to be on-track to be ready for the season.
The hope is that these clear up ahead of the season, and Notre Dame doesn’t suffer any big injuries during spring practices. Notre Dame’s Spring Availability Report pic. twitter.
