Texas A&M forward Zach Clemence, a Kansas transfer, brings crucial March Madness experience to the Aggies' hopes for an NCAA Tournament run.

Texas A&M (21-11) has arrived in Oklahoma City, set to take on Saint Mary's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, as first-year head coach Bucky McMillan is looking to lead his veteran team, many of whom have yet to experience March Madness. However, senior forward and Kansas transfer Zach Clemence stands out for his extensive postseason experience. Yes, playing at Kansas essentially means a guaranteed trip to the big dance, and while Clemence rode the bench for his entire career with the Jayhawks, that wasn't due to a lack of skill, as the former four-star prospect and San Antonio (TX) slowly but surely became one of McMillan's most reliable players, currently averaging 7.

1 points, shooting 47% from the field, and 41% from beyond the arc. Clemence has found his stroke, producing eight double-digit scoring performances on the year, including three 20-plus-point games, led by his career-high 29 points in the Aggies' road loss to Arkansas, before reeling off back-to-back wins over LSU and Kentucky to close out the regular season. While senior forward Rashaun Agee has been the glue that's held the roster together, Clemence will continue to be counted on to provide an instant spark off the bench, while his size, standing at 6'11", will come in handy against a Saint Mary's roster with three players over 7'0" who will look to control the paint.

On Thursday, Texas A&M beat writer Tony Catalina interviewed Zach Clemence during the media portion before the Aggies' open practice, providing insight into the advice he's given his teammates on the mentality needed every game moving forward, starting Thursday night against the Gaels.
