The result was a staggering win for the Bavarian giants — and his was among the top performances of the evening, as befitting a Ballon d’Or candidate.

After appearing off the bench against Atalanta last week, several fans were concerned about Bayern’s ability ot advance past the Italian side, and a lack of trust in Nicolas Jackson. Knowing the major aggregate advantage going into the second leg, Kane wasn’t eager to go easy on Atalanta.

“With such a lead from the first leg, it’s easy to be complacent. But we said that we wanted to win with the same style as the first leg. Credit to the boys, we were there from the first to the last minute.

Some of the youngsters got their debuts. Overall we can be happy,” as per @iMiaSanMia . Bayern certainly weren’t complacent in the second leg.
