Former Vikings CB finds new home and could be a value

A former Minnesota Vikings cornerback had a career-year with an NFC North rival in 2025, helping him land a value-deal for the New York Jets.

The Minnesota Vikings never got much out of cornerback Nahshon Wright during his tenure with the team. He appeared in one game in 2024 following a player swap with 2022 second-round pick Andrew Booth. So it wasn't much of a surprise when the Vikings released Wright last April.

The Chicago Bears immediately snatched him up, and he made an immediate impact with the team. Wright, who stands 6'4", intercepted six passes in 2025, returning one for a touchdown against J. J.

McCarthy in Week 1. He picked off McCarthy in the end zone once again in Week 11. For his efforts, Wright was selected to the Pro Bowl.

But he won't be playing for the Bears again this season. Wright signed a one-year, $5. 5 million deal with the New York Jets last week, a move that Ryan Smith of PFF said is one of the best under-the-radar moves of free agency.
