Fermin Lopez reveals how Hansi Flick change helped Barcelona overcome Newcastle in Champions League
The manager wanted more from his midfielder.

Barcelona went in at the break 3-2 up, thanks to a late penalty from Lamine Yamal, and Fermin says Flick had a specific request for him a the start of the second half.
“Flick asked me to help with the build-up play because they were marking man-to-man,” he said. “If we could overcome that line of pressure, we could attack the space, which is what I tried to do. It worked out well and we were able to play a great game.
“The first half was a bit more difficult for us. They put us under a lot of pressure, we lost possession but we also had chances, but in the second half we controlled the game more. ” Fermin played a key role straight after half-time as Barca carved open Newcastle and made it 4-2 through Lopez.
The goals then continued to flow, with Lopez saying the big win is great for confidence. “We’re leaving with a very good feeling. We scored seven goals.
