Caleb Wilson says he hasn't made a decision on future just yet
UNC basketball freshman Caleb Wilson hasn't made a decision on his future just yet.
Five-star forward Caleb Wilson was the prize of North Carolina's 2025 recruiting class. Wilson picked the Tar Heels back in February of 2025, doing so live on TNT. The moment was huge for the Tar Heels, giving them more time in the national spotlight with his commitment.
From the start, Wilson made a major impact on North Carolina while on the court and it was clear from the start he was the Tar Heels' best player. But as Wilson and the Tar Heels were finding their groove, he suffered an injury in the loss to Miami and then while preparing to return in March, he broke his thumb. With Wilson out, the Tar Heels are entering the NCAA Tournament without their best player.
And he likely played his final game in college. However, on Wednesday Wilson was asked about a potential return to the program for another season. He admitted he hasn't made a decision yet.
โI havenโt decided yet, but I love Carolina," Wilson said. "Itโs a great place to be, and itโs been the most fun year of my life. It will definitely be hard to say no and go to the NBA.
