Michigan football tight end Zack Marshall says the new offense under Jason Beck offers 'freedom' and is 'a lot of work'.

On Tuesday, Michigan football head coach Kyle Whittingham said that while at Utah, he changed things so that whoever was coming up with scheme had to make it quick and easy to digest. Such looked to be the case, as his first-year offensive coordinator, Jason Beck, who came from New Mexico, had the No. 4 total offense and No.

2 rushing offense for the second straight year, despite being at a different school. With Beck having followed Whittingham to Ann Arbor, the hope is that the results can continue. On Wednesday, the latest episode of The Team, by Champ Media, and hosted by quarterback Chase Herbstreit, came out, and he spent some time with tight end Zack Marshall.

Asked about the offense, Marshall started in on his early impressions of tight ends coach Freddie Whittingham, and with that, he shared how the new staff differs from the previous staff. "Coach Freddie's awesome. He is funny.

He's very down to earth, like the kindest human, which is just something that you can really appreciate about a coach," Marshall said. "It was very easy to learn this game with him. He's pretty, pretty forgiving, but obviously -- we all know that like come season time, the forgiveness gets eliminated really, really quick.
