Former Austin star named ACCC and NJCAA Player of the Year

Mar. 18—Former Austin basketball star Jordan Johnson was recently named the Alabama Community College Conference and NJCAA Region 22 Player of the Year after a stellar season at Calhoun. Johnson, who just wrapped up his sophomore season with the Warhawks, averaged 17 points per game across a 31-game season.
He finished the year shooting 45% from 3-point range and 78% from the free throw line. Johnson improved on his freshman season which he spent at Georgia Highlands College where he averaged 9. 5 points per game with a 34% 3-point percentage and a 62% free-throw percentage.
