The Dallas Stars announced Wednesday that they have acquired defenseman Jack Anderson on a two-year, entry-level contract worth $2. 1 million with a cap hit of $1. 5 million .
"Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed defenseman Jack Anderson to a two-year, entry-level contract that will begin in 2026-27," the team said in a statement . "Anderson will report to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the remainder of the year. " Anderson, 23, recently completed his senior season at Michigan Technological University, recording 24 points in 39 games.
The rookie also served as one of the team's captains during this period. Jack Anderson provides affordable depth as Dallas continues developing blue line talent Anderson arrives as a future piece for head coach Glen Gulutzan's team, fitting the profile of blue line players Dallas has been developing. The defenseman was named CCHA Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-CCHA First Team, arriving in Dallas with strong credentials.
