Greg Dortch lands with Lions as likely replacement for Kalif Raymond
The Detroit Lions have found a potential replacement for Kalif Raymond, who left for the Chicago Bears.
The Detroit Lions have found a potential replacement for the role previously held by Kalif Raymond. Wide receiver Greg Dortch is signing with the Lions on a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday evening. Dortch has recorded 1,310 yards and 10 touchdowns on 145 receptions since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
He also has provided value as a special teamer, with 1,773 yards on 75 career kick returns and 886 yards on 99 career punt returns. Dortch, 27, first signed with the New York Jets and made brief stops with the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons before finding a home with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. Dortch overlapped in Arizona with new Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, who was OC for the Cardinals from 2023-25.
Under Petzing, Dortch averaged about 220 receiving yards a season. rsilva@detroitnews. com @rich_silva18 This article originally appeared on The Detroit News: Greg Dortch lands with Detroit Lions as replacement for Kalif Raymond
